We had issues almost every day with homework. Her teacher kept telling me how capable she was and that she would catch up eventually. But she didn't.
The school told me she couldn't get special help until she was at least two grades behind. When she had a failing grade for two years in a row I was told she didn't qualify. She wasn't bad enough.
Teachers also reported that she would "Phase out" or "Zone out" in class and that she seemd to be startled when the teacher finnally got her attention.
I had her tested for seizures.
I had her hearing tested.
